Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm) is a 4 years undergraduate degree course spread over 8 semesters that teaches students about pharmaceutical research, manufacturing, and marketing. It’s a popular job-oriented course among science students after class 12th, and it provides many job opportunities in both the public and private sectors. The curriculum is designed by the Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi, and approved by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore.

The curriculum is developed keeping the overall exposure of the student to the ever-growing potential of the pharma sector globally. The curriculum comprises Pharmaceutics (Drug manufacturing), Pharmaceutical Chemistry (Drug synthesis), Pharmacology (Drug action), Pharmacognosy (Drugs from natural sources), and Pharmacy Practice. The curriculum emphasizes the research component in terms of Practice School and project work in the final year. The student is expected to undergo training for at least 150 hours spread over four weeks in a Pharmaceutical Industry/Hospital After Semester – VI and before the commencement of Semester – VII.
